Having been raised in a Christian home to parents who were very active in church, she jokes that it seems as if she was born under a pew! Sheryl met her husband, John, in church on Easter Sunday 1981 and they were married at Christmas that same year. As soon as her husband finished college they took their first job in Downey, California where they lived for 9 years and where their first 2 children were born. With a transfer back to the Pacific Northwest, they've now lived in Kent for almost 19 years, where they added a 3rd child to the family. Now, with all the children grown, Sheryl is able to commit more time to working in the ministry. She has worked in several faith-based ministries; including several years for Seattle Teen Challenge and for the Bread of Life Mission. Her passion has always been to add excellence from behind the scene to help the ministers who are on the front lines.
Karin Darragh, Rose Hill Christian Preschool Director
Karin was born in Longview, WA. She is married with three sons, two daughters-in-law and one grandson. Karin attended BCC, (early childhood ed), Northwest Bible College, (Biblical and Sociology studies), and VanGuard University,(child development and curriculum development). She has been a preschool teacher for 20 years and director for 12 years. Her life as a believer in Jesus began when she was 19 years old. Church membership and volunteer ministry involvement quickly followed. As a stay-at-home mother with 3 active boys, her home quickly became the neighborhood daycare center. It was during that time that she discovered the joy of working with very young children. One of her favorite quotes is from Charles Dickens, "I love little children, and it is no small thing, when they who are fresh from heaven, love me." It has been 20 years since Karin first came to Rose Hill Christian Preschool and today she is the director and lead teacher. Her desire for this ministry is to be able to offer the church families and community a high quality program that is Bible-based and reflects God's own love. In her free time Karin enjoys reading, card making, and painting. She looks forward each summer to hiking and camping with her husband, sons and their families. She is also enjoying her new role as Grandma!

Linda and her husband, Randy, joined the Rose Hill family in November of 1988. They had moved to the Seattle area after getting married in 1984 and began church shopping. Though it took four years to find Rose Hill, no other church felt so much like home.
Linda and Randy have been involved the last several years with an adult Sunday School class named the "Boomers." They've been meeting and studying and fellowshipping on a regular basis. "It's been a great way to get to know others more intimately than a normal Sunday School class and we often have new members-making it a great way to meet new people and get to know them.
In her spare time, Linda likes to walk with friends and read (not at the same time). "It's amazing what you can learn about a friend you thought you already knew if you're faced with a long trail and a blue sky day..."
